Speed demons! Okay, the dog laying the grass kinda gives us away...but we were fast!)

Dad called me last week and offered to help me with gas money to come and visit. Gas prices being what they are, I jumped at the opportunity! The intent was to surprise mom, but true to form she wasn’t surprised and I got her standard mom ESP – “I just knew you were going to come visit this weekend…” haven’t been able to surprise her yet!

Bonding with my 10-year-old nephew!

Got to spend the morning with my parents , grand-parents , niece and nephew (Aubrie & Chandler, brother, sister-in-law and her daughter (Ellie). We had a great time.

In the afternoon mom found some old boxes and Chandler, Mom, Ellie and I spent hours sliding down a hill into my parents pasture land. Eric & Mindy even joined in! Let me tell you – you don’t know country living until you’ve gone box sliding! 🙂

Hi I am the ten-year-old nephew and you ain’t a red neck ’till you cardboard sled. Here are the steps:

1. Find the biggest card board box
2. Find wax paper and wax the bottom of the board
3. Find a hill with a non-rocky slide spot
4. And take photos and videos and absorb being a redneck
