I’m having a difficult time remembering the weekend. I spend several days the first week just trying to get my tech issue sorted that by the weekend I was just ready to drop. Well…the frenetic activity along with the killer bug I’d picked. I think I slept until Noon on Saturday – only got up when I was too hungry to sleep anymore.

Erynn and I went out and found MBK a huge shopping mall across town. They had a theatre so we met up with Jav (a colleague from the Iraq program) and went to see Indiana Jones. What a retro classic! You could almost see the sets being built at Disneyland for the next ride. But it did deliver the entertainment one expects from that franchise.

From there we ended up at dinner. A little Italian place around the corner from the Windsor call Basil. GREAT food and even better sangria!! We chatted for hours…until an elephant wandered past. I ran out and did the tourist thing…fed it sugar cane while Jav snapped photos.

Sunday was just about as as exciting! So I won’t bore you with details here…
