We’re landing in Entebbe in 15 minute and it is only just now that it’s hitting me – I’m landing in Africa! It has always been mythical – larger than life – stories of adventure – vast expanses – lie & death of an epic scale – and soon I will have a point of reference…my own Rosetta stone of Africa. A tiny window!
I’m weary. Feel asleep on this flight but am still quite confused as to what time my body thinks it is. Am looking forward to a warm shower and a clean bed.
Plan to explore Kampala tomorrow. A little shopping – photo ops etc. Also will be going through my backpack to see what, if anything, I can leave behind. I’d like to have a computer on this trip, but will be very happy to hand off the one I have.
Met up with Richard in Seattle – we traveled together to Amsterdam where we killed three hours over coffee. Conversation was good – a little wacky, but good! We were both tired – so funny stories followed-by vacant eyes.
