Haven’t spent much time capturing the sights and sounds around me. The frog chorus in the evening is beautiful. My first night here I had a tiny frog visitor – thankfully he jumped within my life of sight or I would never have spotted him…just 1/4 inch long. I tried to get a photo…but it’s pretty grainy.
There are birds here too that make a strange chirp/clicking sound – reminds me of grasshoppers.
I’m sitting at breakfast (boiled eggs, dry bread or chipati-think fried fluffy flour tortilla, jam and peanut butter and bananas) and it strikes me as I stare into my instant coffee that my sufficiency has truly been satisfied. Never really knew what that meant until now. I don’t have more than I need, but I have enough.
I am weary and apart. Without a “field” context connecting to the field staff is difficult – there are no obvious points of contact… also, my natural tendency to leadership and the big picture also pull me out of this type of training. It may be more that I’m just a little lost on how I plug in generally to the GRT. When I get this lost – I tend to shut down.
End of Day…
