Final thoughts from a jet-lagged brain…
I’m lost between worlds. The “field” (basically anywhere the NGO works but headquarters) has such a vibrant pulse – an absorbing quality that feels as though you’ve lifted the veil from the potential and found the reality.
The distance from the field is soaking into my skin – pulling me from the team, from the work. The new reality is pulling my attention in a new direction. Political allies and foes are resuming their positions as if the giant game of battle ship is back on.
For moments I had peace. I had my work. I had a single focus shared by many. Now my challenge is to bring that back to HQ. To balance the reality I left with the reality I now inhabit.
Good luck to me – good luck to us all!
