Haven’t been brave enough to try my grandma’s bread recipe…but this corn bread is great!
Cornbread
1 Cup Yellow Cornmeal (finely ground, but some texture)
1 Cup Four
1/4 Cup Sugar
4 Tsp Baking Powder
1/2 Tsp Salt
1 Egg
1 Cup Milk
1/4 Cup Oil
Mix ingredients, pour into a greased 9-inch pie plate (or similar) that’s been sprinkled with 1/4 Cup of cornmeal. Bake at 425 degrees (F) for 20 minutes. Toothpick (or small wooden skewers) should come away clean when testing the center of the bread.
